Today (Saturday) we start setting up the course and doing all our final checks ready to welcome all our runners, marshals and supporters on Sunday.

Thank you so much to everyone that has registered to join us on Sunday.  This is the first year that we have had to close registrations early because we are full.

 

Huge apologies to anyone that hoped to run but missed out.  If you would like to support us on the day by marshalling then please email us at info@thehighway10k.com.

We see it as a massive complement from our runners of previous years that we have nearly sold all our places. 

 

Plus - we have run the course and it is fast - really fast - this could be the year for a new course record!  Will it be you?

Here are our tips to help you train for our 10K:

1. Run Often – try 2 30 minutes runs in the week and a longer one at the weekend
2. Go Longer – every other weekend increase your long run by 1.5-2K
3. Chill Out – make sure you rest on your non-run days to avoid fatigue
4. Practice Hills – you’ve heard about our Charterhouse hill right?  Add some hills to your training to help you tackle it on the day
5. Get Ready – the week before the race do two 30 minute runs but rest the 2 days before to allow your legs to recharge
6. Have Fun – the TH10K marshals are there to support you and cheer you on.  It really is a fun day – our previous runners tell us so.
